What we haul

Transport built around the horse

Whether it's across town or across the country, every trip runs the same way: a clean rig, a careful schedule, and steady communication from pickup to drop-off.

01

Local

Barn moves, vet and clinic runs, shows and lessons around the Kansas City metro. Short notice welcome when the calendar allows.

02

Regional

Multi-state runs through the Midwest and Plains — Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Kentucky, Texas and points between.

03

Long Haul

Cross-country moves with frequent stops for hay and water, overnight planning, and updates to you along the way.

Available for all of your needs

Single horse or a full load, one-way or round trip — configurations flex to the job.

Transparent communication

You hear from us during shipping, not just at the end of it. Photos and check-ins on request.

About

Horse people hauling horses

GW Equestrian LLC is a small, owner-operated transport business run by Carrie out of the Kansas City area. Small on purpose — it means the person you talk to on the phone is the same person loading your horse and driving the truck.

Every load is treated like it's carrying somebody's whole season, because it usually is. That means a clean trailer, hay in front of them, frequent stops, cameras running, and a text to you when things go right and when plans change.

Local, regional, and long haul, fully licensed and commercially insured.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do I get a quote?

Call or text (913) 530-1916 with your pickup and drop-off locations, your dates, and how many horses. Text is usually the fastest way to reach us. You can also send the form below.

What paperwork does my horse need?

Interstate travel generally requires a current negative Coggins test and a health certificate (CVI) from your vet. Requirements vary by state and change over time, so confirm the specifics with us and your vet before your ship date.

How many horses can you take?

The trailer is a 6-horse head-to-head gooseneck with flexible configurations. It can run straight-load warmblood-size stalls when a bigger horse needs the extra room.

Do you haul stallions, mares with foals, or difficult loaders?

Ask — configurations are flexible and a lot is workable with enough notice. Tell us up front about loading issues, special needs, or anything we should plan around.

Will I hear from you during the trip?

Yes. Transparent communication with the horse owner during shipping is part of the service, and the trailer is video monitored throughout.

What should I send with my horse?

Fresh bedding, hay and water are provided. Send any regular feed or supplements, plus their halter and lead. Let us know about medications or a feeding schedule ahead of time.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better, especially for long haul. That said, if there's already a run headed your direction there may be a spot on short notice — it never hurts to call.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully licensed, DOT/MC compliant, and commercially insured. Documentation is available on request.
